My Jacks are made from vegetable tanned leather and stiffened with beeswax. Each is of leather throughout, including the bottom. They are lined with brewers pitch, a natural pine tar resin. This lining will not affect the taste of your beverage. You can drink coffee as long as it is at a drinkable temperature. They are leather. If you sit on it, you will crush it. If you put boiling water in it, you will ruin it. A care and feeding sheet comes with every vessel. All vessels are made in America in my shop.
